Dr. Karen Flannery
Founder and Medical DirectorAddiction Medicine Specialist
Dr. Karen Flannery attended medical school at Rush University in Chicago and completed her training in Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida in 2001. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, recertified with a focused practice in Hospital Medicine, and additionally Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. Dr. Flannery has practiced hospital medicine and addiction medicine in West Palm Beach, Florida for nearly two decades, and has served as Chief of Staff and Division Director of Hospital Medicine at Good Samaritan Medical Center. In addition to proficiency in treating complex acute and chronic medical conditions, Dr. Flannery brings to her patients and their families a sense of compassion, warmth, and empathy.
As the founder and medical director of Palm Beach Wellness Institute, Dr. Flannery is committed to elevating the standard of care in the treatment of patients who desire a complementary approach to health, and those suffering from depression, anxiety, and addictive disorders. In addition to teaching patients how to create whole-body health, she is passionate about helping others understand that mental health disorders and addiction are chronic medical conditions that can be successfully managed with appropriate professional care. Dr. Flannery frequently speaks on the topic of reducing stigma in addictive and mental health disorders. She continues to share this message with patients, families, and within the medical community.
Dr. Flannery believes that daily practices aimed at achieving a healthy state of mind can result in a healthier body. This guiding principle forms the foundation of her approach to personal and family life as well as all of her professional endeavors.
Samantha Garabed
Executive DirectorSamantha earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Broward College. She is also trained as a Certified Recovery Coach. She has worked with PBWI since its inception, providing administrative management and support for patients and providers. Outside of work, she is very active in the recovery community, always willing to help anyone in need. She also enjoys spending time with her French bulldog, Storm, who is currently training to be a therapy dog for PBWI.
Erick Berman MSW,LCSW
Erick Berman MSW, LCSW is a trauma and addiction specialist.
His extensive training and expertise give him the knowledge to integrate traditional psychotherapeutic treatments with spiritually integrated modalities that facilitate growth, healing and wellness.
Erick’s life work, compassion and understanding are inspired by his own recovery journey.
Will Buckley, CCAR
Will Buckley brings an extensive list of personal experiences to his role as a certified Recovery Life Coach. It includes his twenty year struggle with alcoholism and drug addiction and eight plus years of continuous sobriety. As a Recovery Life Coach Will draws from his own experience overcoming addiction and dealing with its’ emotional aftermath. Will is a compassionate listener who can provide insights and real life experience that help others understand their addiction. Most importantly, Will has the capacity to inspire people to find their own motivation for recovery.
Gus Castellanos, MD
Gus Castellanos, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He practiced Neurology and Sleep Medicine in Jupiter for 25 years. He has practiced mindfulness since 1998 and taught mindfulness programs since 2009. Certified to teach MBSR by the University of Massachusetts Center For Mindfulness and trained at the University of Miami’s Neuroscience of Mindfulness Lab, Gus currently teaches mindfulness-based programs at a variety of facilities throughout South Florida. He has trained thousands of participants in his mindfulness classes and workshops, including persons suffering from stress, anxiety, insomnia, and many other medical and mental health disorders. He also teaches specific populations such as nurses, state judges, physicians, US Army soldiers, fire fighters, paramedics, and behavioral health specialists. He lectures widely, writes a mindfulness newsletter, and serves on Palm Health Foundation’s Better Brain Health Advisory Board.
Larisa Chapman, LMT
Larisa is a Licensed Massage Therapist originally from Romania. She graduated top of her class from New York Institute of Massage and practiced in New York, Virginia, Georgia, and the South Florida area. Larisa has helped thousands of people with injuries, going through detoxification, struggling with pain management, or desiring some much-needed relaxation to rejuvenate body and mind. Larisa incorporates her own special healing touches, plus some wonderful aromas, heat or cold packs, and even a few stretches to help increase your flexibility. She graduated with 1,104 hours and has added thousands more in continuing education classes over the years. Larisa has traveled extensively across the globe in search of fresh ideas and methods to add that special touch and further help her clients. She is fluent in English and Romanian with a growing knowledge of Spanish.
Elle Dupree, MSW, LCSW
Elle DuPree earned a Masters’ in Social Work degree from Florida Atlantic University. She has, for years, facilitated family workshops for those with loved ones in the throes of addiction. Elle has years of experience in traditional individual and group therapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Master Certified Addictions Professional. Elle is trained in EMDR and experiential therapies such as psychodrama, sand tray, and art. Elle’s professional foci and passions are Somatic Experiencing, Transformational Breath Work, Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Elle began her own recovery journey in 2006 and is honored to be working in the field of substance use disorders and self empowerment since 2008. Elle’s greatest joy is her family.
Angie Greenfield
Angie has been in the healing arts for over 20 years. She believes the connection to one’s true self dwells at the heart of the healing process. Often times this connection can become blocked at an energetic level and thus difficult to access through dialogue-based treatment approaches. As a Reiki Healer, Angie harnesses universal life force energy to remove blockages caused by traumas stored in the body thereby restoring one’s natural energetic equilibrium. Angie is a lead teacher at Kula Yoga Shala and is currently 200 hour RYS as well as certified in Chair and Yin yoga. She is an Empowerment Coach and is currently training with Suzanne Sterling as a Voice of Change Facilitator. She hosts workshops on the Chakras and The Power of Your Voice. Kathleen Haden, BS, PT, MBA
Kathleen Haden is a well-known Touch & Movement expert featured in the movie “Keeper of the Keys” alongside Jack Canfield, John Grey and many others. Kathleen’s knowledge of health and wellness has always kept her in the forefront of the latest trends from Pilates to Massage to Water & Sound Therapy. Kathleen is a well-known speaker, presenter, and teacher bringing the latest information on what she speaks about. She has written training manuals, books and articles. Kathleen has been using FIM and vibrational products with her clients for many years and has seen the benefits first-hand. Her most exciting venture yet is introducing these amazing tools to the rest of the world via Good Vibrations Music.
Adrianne Lipscomb, CCAR
Adrianne is a graduate of San Diego State with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Therapy. She earned her (CCAR), Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery in 2018 and recently earned her (CHWC), Certified Health and Wellness Coaching certification with emphasis in chronic pain. Adrianne has 15 years of continuous sobriety and sponsors many women. She has managed her own chronic pain issues for the past 25 years and understands what her clients continually struggle with making her the ultimate professional. Because of the mental and emotional pain she has struggled with, it has given her purpose to reach out and help others to successfully navigate their way through their own personal journeys. As a pain coach we will explore the pain science and how it affects the brain. A pain management coach believes every person has strengths and capabilities that have taken a back seat when pain becomes the driver. Learn to pace yourself, so you have fewer bad days and more good days by learning good self-care techniques. Introduce you to evidence based strategies that work to reduce and manage chronic pain such as guided meditation, mindfulness, and various breathing techniques. Alyson Limehouse

Rollology™ was developed by Second Generation Master Pilates Instructor, Alyson Limehouse, who studied under Pilates Elder Lolita San Miguel. Alyson has owned and operated Sunset Pilates Studio on Palm Beach Island for 16 years. Alyson is very passionate about the art of sculpting the body through a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training, which improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up. Alyson created Rollology™ for today’s body type so that anybody can have a safe and effective work out.
Nicole Mezoff, L.A.C.
As an acupuncture physician (AP), Nicole Mezoff has worked with Palm Beach Wellness Institute since its inception. In 2003, she received her Master of Acupuncture degree from The Academy for Five-Element Acupuncture in Hallandale, Florida, where she has served as a faculty member and clinical supervisor. Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Nicole is a member of the Florida State Oriental Medicine Association (FSOMA) and holds a current acupuncture license (L.Ac.) in the State of Florida. Nicole teaches and practices Qigong and traditional Yang-style Tai Chi Chuan. She successfully completed a four-year Medical Qigong program and is a certified Pan Gu Shen Gong instructor. Along with Five-Element Acupuncture techniques, she practices the Tong Ren healing method, the Nada auricular detox protocol, and Chinese herbal therapy.
Christine Morgan, LMT,CLT
Christine Morgan, LMT, CLT inspires wellness and deep healing through meditative and intelligent touch specializing in lymphatic, oncology and intuitive massage. A longtime advocate for alternative healing modalities, Christine has created and implemented lymphedema programs in three hospitals and was trained at the Vodder School, Austria. Known for her magic hands and compassionate heart, she catalyzes a deep and rested space especially for those struggling with anxiety, body sensitivity, and procedure recovery. Currently she leads the lymphedema education program at the Palm Beach Cancer Institute and offers private sessions/consultations online and in person. Passionate about wholehearted conversations, she hosts women’s support circles and spends her summers leading “Women’s Wellness Weekends” at Grass Lake Sanctuary, Michigan.
Michele Rosenthal, CPC, BCH, MPNLP
Award-nominated author and Trauma Recovery Specialist, Michele Rosenthal, assists survivors in overcoming the effects of trauma, including fear, grief, guilt, shame, loss, sadness, anger, agitation, sleep issues, stress, and identity loss. A PTSD survivor herself, Michele understands the healing journey from the inside out. After achieving her own full recovery more than a decade ago she became a Certified Professional Coach, Certified Trauma and PTSD Hypnotist, and Licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming so that she could follow her passion for helping others feel better. She appears frequently in the media, speaks nationally on the topics of trauma and recovery, and is a former faculty member of the Clinical Development Institute for Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center. Bobbi Sprano, CRMT, CHT, CTH, NLP, AC
While working the last forty years in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology and Teaching, Bobbi Sprano expanded her world to include her fifty years of intensive spiritual studies. Bobbi is registered, certified, and practices as a Usui/Holy Fire III, Karuna, and Kundalini Reiki Master, and in Advanced Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, Advanced ThetaHealing, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Animal Communication, Angel Readings, and Meridian Tapping. She teaches all levels of Usui/Holy Fire III and Karuna Reiki, Meridian Tapping, Japa Manifesting Meditation, Lighten-Up, 42 Days to Abundance, and Angelspeake techniques, to name a few. Bobbi is currently completing a recertification course in Spiritual Life Coaching. Bobbi is an Affiliate member of The International Center for Reiki Healing, and The Aspen Specialty Insurance Company insured for all Holistic modalities. Although these modalities are complements to traditional Medical and Psychological, treatment they are not substitutes, but Integrative Complements.
Heidi Stefan, BA
Heidi is an experienced and compassionate recovery coach, companion, and case manager who holds a Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Florida. GO Gators! She has dedicated her life to be of service to people struggling with addiction, mental and emotional health issues. Heidi is grateful to be in long-term recovery for over twenty years (in a row) from addiction, trauma, and eating disorders. She is a loyal wife and dedicated mother. Her passion is in sharing, educating, guiding, and supporting men and women in their own journey of transformation by being a power of example. Her joy is in witnessing the spiritual awakening of a person who (because of addiction) has been devoid of such a gift.
Tiger Lily Strout, CPT, LMT
Tiger possesses the gift of healing. Whether as a massage therapist, functional fitness trainer or nutrition coach (with over 15 years of experience) Tiger passionately helps her clients in a multitude of ways. Her background as a youth athlete, figure competitor, and rehabilitation therapist helps her to meet her clients where they are and focus on areas of weakness while maintaining their strengths. Keeping workouts effective, fun, and efficient, with the belief every client is different, she builds a custom wellness plan around their needs through exercise, nutrition, and bodywork for a better quality of life.
