Lifestyle / Stress Program

Personalized, physician-led support for healthier
habits and greater resilience

Lifestyle habits play a significant role in overall health, resilience, and disease prevention. Over time, chronic stress, sleep disruption, inactivity, and maladaptive coping patterns can influence both physical and emotional well-being.

PBWI’s Lifestyle Program takes a broad, whole-person approach to lifestyle and behavioral wellness, focusing on the underlying patterns, routines, and environmental influences that shape overall functioning and quality of life.

The goal is not simply to help individuals live longer, but to help them stay healthier, more active, and more engaged throughout the years ahead.

How Our Program Works

Your care begins with a comprehensive look at where you are today: your health history, daily routines, stress patterns, sleep, nutrition, movement, and body composition. Instead of starting with generic advice, we start with your own data.

We turn your results into a personalized wellness care plan in plain language. You’ll see what the findings mean, which patterns matter most for you, and the specific recommendations we’ve prioritized around your goals.

Knowing what to do is rarely the hard part. Lasting change starts with understanding why it matters to you. Your care team begins with your goals, your values, and what has gotten in the way before, then builds a plan around your own motivation rather than a one-size-fits-all list of rules.

From there, we help you put it into practice at home and in daily life, with your physician’s oversight and coordination with your other providers.

Life changes, and your plan should too. We check in regularly, track your progress, and adjust your plan so the changes you build can last.

The Focus Areas

Meaningful lifestyle change takes more than education alone. We start with what matters to you and why, so your plan reflects your goals, not a generic checklist. Every plan is personalized, so your care may emphasize some of these areas more than others.

Chronic stress can affect sleep, mood, energy, and physical health.

We focus on stress physiology and nervous system regulation, using evidence-based tools such as mindfulness practices and behavioral strategies. The aim is to help your body and mind recover more easily from everyday demands.

No strict diets or food rules.

We start by understanding your relationship with food, your routines, and your goals, then build sustainable habits that fit your life, with attention to metabolic health along the way.

Your plan starts with your current ability, your schedule, and the kinds of movement you actually enjoy, then builds gradually.

Strength, mobility, and physical resilience support independence and long-term health span, so that’s what we build toward.

Sleep affects nearly everything else on this page.

We look at what’s disrupting your sleep and restoration, and build practical routines to help you wake up feeling more restored.

Quitting is often as much about habits, triggers, and stress as it is about nicotine.

We pair behavioral support with physician oversight to help you build a plan you can stick to.

Maintaining muscle and bone is central to staying strong, mobile, and independent as we age.

It matters even more during periods of weight loss, including for people taking GLP-1 medications, where preserving lean mass is an important part of healthy body composition.

We use your body composition findings to guide nutrition, strength training, and monitoring so you can protect muscle and bone while working toward your goals.

FAQs

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple:

  1. Fill out our Interest Form below to schedule your complimentary Lifestyle Consultation.
  2. Our Care Manager will be in touch to determine program fit.
How is this different from working with a trainer, a nutritionist, or a wellness app?

Those can each help with one piece. Your plan is physician-led and brings assessment, coaching, and support for stress, sleep, nutrition, and movement together, so the pieces work with each other instead of competing for your attention.

Can PBWI work with my current physician/treatment program?

Yes. Collaboration with your existing physicians, therapists, and other providers is a core part of the PBWI model. With your permission, our team coordinates with your current providers to help ensure your care is connected, informed, and aligned with your overall treatment plan.

What does the assessment involve?

We look at your health history, daily routines, stress patterns, sleep, nutrition, movement, and body composition. This creates a baseline, a clear starting point to measure against, so measurable data like body composition shows us what is changing over time. Just as important is what you tell us: how stress shows up, what your days look like, and what has and hasn’t worked before. Together, the numbers and your story let us recalibrate your plan based on real information instead of guesswork. You then receive a personalized wellness care plan in plain language that explains what we found and what we recommend.

How do you help changes stick?

We start with your own reasons for change, then work on the stress, sleep, and routines that tend to derail good intentions. Regular check-ins let us see what’s working and adjust your plan before old patterns return.

I mainly want help with nutrition or fitness. Why does the program include stress and sleep?

Stress and sleep shape cravings, energy, recovery, and motivation. When they’re off, nutrition and fitness changes are much harder to keep up. Addressing them is often what allows the other changes to take hold.

Do you also address the emotional side, like anxiety or low motivation?

Yes. Stress, mood, and motivation are part of the picture, not a separate issue. Therapy and mindfulness-based support can be part of your plan when appropriate, under physician oversight.

I'm losing weight easily on a GLP-1. Why would I need to put in extra effort with nutrition and exercise?

Weight loss and fat loss aren’t the same thing. GLP-1 medications reduce appetite, and the weight that comes off can include muscle and bone along with fat. Muscle supports your strength, mobility, and metabolic health, so losing it can leave you weaker and less resilient even as the number on the scale drops. Nutrition and strength-focused movement help protect lean mass now and build habits that support your results over the long term, including if your treatment changes. We track your body composition so you can see what you’re actually losing, not just how much. We work alongside your prescribing physician and don’t replace their care.

How is your smoking cessation program different from a typical quit plan?

Quitting is often as much about habits, triggers, and stress as it is about nicotine. We combine behavioral support with physician oversight to build a plan around your patterns, including what has gotten in the way before.
