About Dr. Teniah A.
Dr. Teniah Avent is a dynamic and accomplished professional with a strong foundation in physical therapy, exercise science, and functional training. She holds a Bachelor of Human Science in Exercise Science from Florida State University and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Florida A&M University. In addition to her academic credentials, Dr. Avent is a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning specialist. Throughout her career in rehabilitation, Dr. Avent developed a passion for preventative care. She recognized that flexibility—though a critical component of overall wellness—is often overlooked and can be a root cause of many physical ailments. This realization inspired her to specialize in practitioner-assisted stretching, a holistic and proactive approach to muscle and joint pain management. Dr. Avent has successfully treated a diverse clientele, from sedentary individuals to elite athletes, including professional NBA players. Her expertise in assisted stretching has helped clients recover from injuries, enhance performance, and prevent future issues. Outside the clinic, Dr. Avent nurtures her own wellness through meditation and Trapeze Yoga, continuing her commitment to balance, flexibility, and mindful living.
